Ukraine to play Nations League home matches with Georgia in Poznan and Czech Republic in Wroclaw

Executive Committee Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) approved venues for home matches Ukrainian national team V Nations League 2024/25.

The blue and yellow will take over Georgia in Poznan on October 11. Then Sergei Rebrov’s team will play against Czech Republic in another Polish city, Wroclaw, on October 14. It was previously reported that Ukraine would host the Albanian national team in Prague on September 7.

Earlier, the UAF Executive Committee expressed full confidence in the head coach of the national team, Sergei Rebrov. The coach’s next task is to prepare for the performance in the League of Nations and the 2026 World Cup qualification.

The Ukrainian national team took fourth place in Group E at Euro 2024 and failed to advance to the playoffs. The key defeat was the 0:3 defeat to Romania in the first round. For the first time in the history of the European Championship, a team with four points took the last place in its quartet.

According to the specialized portal Transfermarkt, the Ukrainian national team is the team with the most expensive roster to have been eliminated from Euro 2024 after the first stage. At the same time, the Ukrainian national team is the second youngest team at Euro 2024 to have been eliminated after the group stage. The average age of the blue-yellows is 26.4 years.

The Ukrainian national team will play in Group B1 of the 2024/2025 Nations League. All six matches in the quartet will take place in the autumn of 2024.
