The defender signed a two-year contract
Alexandria officially announced the transfer of the defender Artem Shabanov as a free agent. The footballer signed a two-year contract.
Shabanov is a Dynamo alumnus. Artem played for Arsenal, Volyn, Stal, Olimpik and Dynamo. The defender won the Ukrainian championship, Cup and Super Cup with the Kievans, and also became the champion of Poland as part of Legia.
Shabanov spent the previous season in Polesie. As part of the Zhitomir club, the player played 26 matches in all tournaments during the season.
Earlier, Alexandria signed Dnipro-1 striker Alexander Filippov. The club also signed a new long-term contract with experienced midfielder Kirill Kovalts and extended the contract of defender Alexander Martynyuk. According to Sport Arena, Alexandria is interested in the transfer of Dynamo (Batumi) attacking midfielder Tsotne Patsatsiya.
Oleksandriya took eighth place in the Ukrainian Premier League. In the first round of the new season, Ruslan Rotan’s team will host Dynamo, unless the match is postponed due to the participation of players from both teams in the 2024 Olympics.
