Polesie played its third friendly match during the pre-season training camp — the team Imada Ashura defeated Veres (4:1).
The match itself was held in a unique format and consisted of four halves of 30 minutes each. The score was opened in the second minute of the match – the summer newcomer of Zhitomir, Brazilian Joao Vialle, scored.
Polesie doubled their advantage in the 76th minute, when substitute forward Luifer Hernandez headed in a corner kick from Emil Mustafayev at the far post.
In the 81st and 99th minutes, Polesia midfielder Bohdan Kushnirenko scored a double, to which Veres responded only with a consolation goal in the 111th minute of the match – a penalty kick was converted by Nikolai Gaiduchik.
Polesie is preparing for a historic season, which will begin with a clash with Slovenian Olimpija in the second qualifying round of the Conference League (away on July 25, at home on August 1). Polesie will play its home matches of the European Cups in Gliwice, Poland.
In the first round of the new UPL season, the Ashur team will play against Rukh. The base date is August 3.
