Van der Vaart harshly criticised the England team
The English scored the first goal from a penalty, awarded by German referee Felix Zweier.
“I don’t know what to say, or even if I should say anything. The referee left the pitch quite quickly after the game, I think that speaks for itself.
“The rules of football are constantly changing, small changes are made and can have serious consequences. Let the judges come and explain themselves, as we do when we make mistakes. I think that could have some impact,” van Dijk was quoted as saying by the Daily Express.
