Flamengo agrees to sell youth striker to Portuguese club

O Flamengo announced, this Wednesday (10), the sale of 70% of the young striker’s economic rights Werton for the Leixoesclub of Portugalfor one million euros (around R$5.8 million).

Fresh from the nest, the striker will sign for four seasons, but will still be available for Tite in Mengão’s next match, against Strength.

Werton found space in the red-black team with the various absences resulting from the call-ups for the Copa Americaas well as specific cuts in the cast, such as Bruno Henrique It is Everton Onion. With that, Werton was able to play in Mengão’s last two games, against Cruzeiro and Cuiabá.

The striker was almost loaned to Saint Claraalso from Portugal, at the beginning of the year, but the president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim withdrew the proposal from the table because it demanded a larger amount than what was offered.
