In the Copa America there was a fierce fight between the football players and the fans. The incident took place immediately after the semi-final game between Colombia and Uruguay. We remind you that the Colombians won and reached the finals of the tournament.

After the final whistle, clashes broke out between players and fans in the stands. Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez was at the center of the incident, while Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo and Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Jimenez were nearby. In addition to fists, various objects were used, especially drink cans.

Only the late intervention of security personnel led the players to return to the field, with some members of their families following them.

Uruguay national team captain Jimenez said the players had to do it because they feared for the safety of their families and came to their defense.
