President of the Serie A League, Lorenzo Casini– comment on the approval of the amendment to the sports ordinance in the Culture and Sports Commission of the Chamber. This is the press release: “The approval of the amendment to the sports ordinance in the Culture and Sports Commission of the Chamber will ensure greater representation of the Serie A League in the federal system. After years, this has been a first important milestone. In fact, a key principle of modern democracies is confirmed: no taxation without representation” – which I already called on the FIGC leaders in March 2022, unfortunately without any follow-up to date – and for which Serie A will finally consider recognition as an adequate role in the economic support it provides to the entire football movement. This rule is an important first step in the reform process that Serie A has been asking for some time.
