Two specialists have become assistants to head coach Erik ten Hag

Manchester United officially announced his appointment to the coaching staff Ruud van Nistelrooy And Rune Hake.

Both specialists became assistants to head coach Erik ten Hag. The coaches’ contract runs until the summer of 2026.

Steve McClaren remains as first-team manager and Darren Fletcher will continue as senior coach. Mitchell van der Gaag and Benni McCarthy have left the club.

It was previously reported that Van Nistelrooy was choosing between the Manchester United offer and a move to Burnley. The Dutchman had the opportunity to become the Clarets’ head coach after Vincent Kompany left.

Van Nistelrooy played for Manchester United from 2001 to 2006. The striker also played for Heerenveen, Real Madrid, Hamburg and Malaga. He scored 35 goals in 70 matches for the Netherlands national team. Ruud subsequently worked as an assistant coach for several coaches in the Netherlands national team, and also coached the youth teams of PSV.

Manchester United finished eighth in the Premier League and won the FA Cup. The Red Devils will host Fulham in the first round of the new season on August 16.
