“The Spanish will have more possession of the ball, they will be able to combine. But Spain could lose because the English are physically stronger and more powerful. The England team can take advantage of that and suppress the Spanish, that is their trump card.
“Spain are my favourite and I want them to win: they are the best team in Euro 2024 in terms of performance. England’s chances lie in the individual skills of the players. This could make the difference at the moment, especially if the match does not go well for the Spanish,” Arshavin was quoted as saying by Match TV.
In the semi-finals, Spain beat France and England beat the Netherlands. Both games ended 2:1.
The decisive match of Euro 2024 will be played on July 14 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin and will start at 22:00 Moscow time.
