Dnepr-1 continues its process of disintegration, the club stops funding the women’s team

The situation is similar in the youth academy.

As became known Sport Arena, Dnepr-1 continues the process of disintegration and closure of the club.

Following the majority of first team players, the youth and women’s teams will soon begin to leave, where funding will also cease.

As Sport Arena has learned, Dnipro-1 was unable to start the planned training camp. It is reported that the club was able to gather too few players. There are not enough players to complete the starting lineup.

In June, Fridman said that the club was at risk of closing the project. The functionary said that the current funds would not be enough for the entire season. However, according to him, Dnipro-1 is negotiating with potential new sponsors in order to continue its existence.

Honorary President Yuri Bereza said that he is ready to transfer all rights to the club to new investors. The functionary agrees to leave his post if the new owners save the team.

Dnipro-1, if it survives, will play in the Conference League qualification. In the second round of the selection, the opponent of Yuriy Maksimov’s team will be the Hungarian Puskas Academy.
