The UAF Executive Committee supported the proposal of head coach Sergei Rebrov
Executive committee Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) supported the proposal Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Serhiy Rebrov about the possibility of postponing matches Ukrainian Premier League at the request of the national team.
If necessary, the National Teams Committee will be able to contact the UPL Directorate with a proposal to postpone individual matches to a reserve date. Rebrov motivated such a request by the martial law in the country.
Earlier, the UAF Executive Committee expressed full support for the national team coach Sergei Rebrov. The coach’s next task is to prepare for the League of Nations and the 2026 World Cup qualification.
The Ukrainian national team took fourth place in Group E at Euro 2024 and failed to advance to the playoffs. The key defeat was the 0:3 defeat to Romania in the first round. For the first time in the history of the European Championship, a team with four points took the last place in its quartet.
The Ukrainian national team will play in Group B1 of the 2024/2025 Nations League. All six matches in the quartet will take place in the autumn of 2024.
