The Portuguese signed a seven-year contract
Chelsea officially announced the transfer of the Young Boys defender Renato Veiga.
The Portuguese signed a seven-year contract. It was previously reported that the Blues would pay Young Boys 14 million euros for the player.
Chelsea see the 20-year-old in a number of positions, with the versatile Veiga able to play on the left and in central defence, as well as as a holding midfielder.
Chelsea signed three youngsters earlier this summer: 17-year-old Palmeiras talent Willian Estevao, 18-year-old Aston Villa striker Omari Kellyman and his peer, Barcelona forward Marc Guyu, as well as 25-year-old midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester.
Chelsea in England became the sixth under the management of the Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, and enters the new season already under the management of the Italian Enzo Maresca. The Londoners will begin the new season of the Premier League on August 18 with a home match against Manchester City.
