Bezerra, Shostak and Pogorely scored for the Rotan/Antonov team
Alexandria held its first friendly match as part of the summer training camp before the start of the 2024/25 season. In a friendly match, the UPL team won a strong-willed victory over Kudrovka-Niva — 3:1.
The visitors opened the scoring early in the match. Alexandria equalized thanks to a precise strike by Juan Bezerra in the middle of the first half.
Shortly after the break, the favorite first took the lead thanks to Denis Shostak, and subsequently consolidated their advantage. The third goal was scored by forward Vladislav Pogorely.
It should be noted that for Kudrovka-Niva this is already the second July defeat with a score of 1:3 from a representative of the UPL. Earlier, Kolos won a similar victory over the team from Buzova.
Oleksandria, as a reminder, took 8th place in the last UPL draw. Its coach Ruslan Rotan is currently preparing the Ukrainian Olympic team for a historic debut at the 2024 Olympics in France.
It was previously reported that Rotan’s new assistant, Alexey Antonov, will oversee the training process in Alexandria while Ruslan and his assistant Sergey Kravchenko will be with the Olympic team in Paris.
In the first round of the new UPL season, Rotan’s team was supposed to host Dynamo (base date – August 3), but the match was postponed due to the call-up of players from both clubs to the Olympic team.
