Cherkasy club has already signed its fourth newcomer in the summer off-season
Albanian KF Laci officially announced the transfer of his defender Aidi Daiko V LNZ.
The details of the deal have not yet been disclosed. According to preliminary data, the young Albanian has signed a two-year contract. The transfer amount is approximately 200 thousand euros.
Daiko is 21 years old and actively plays for the Albania youth team. His main position is central defender, but he can also play on the right. He began his career in the Greek PAOK, then played for Asteras and AEK reserves. In the summer of 2023, Aidi became a Laçi player. Last season, he played 36 matches and received four yellow cards.
Daiko has already become the fourth summer newcomer of LNZ. Earlier, the Cherkasy club signed the former captain of Chernomorets Ilya Putrya, the Ghanaian striker Mark Assinor and the midfielder Matej Angelov from North Macedonia.
There have been no Albanians in the LNZ squad yet, but two representatives of Kosovo play for the Ukrainian club: defender Hajdin Salihu and midfielder Muharrem Jashari.
The Cherkasy team took seventh place in its debut season in the UPL. At the same time, in the off-season, the club changed its coach: on June 10, Oleg Dulub left his post, and the next day, the Spaniard Andres Carrasco became his successor.
At the start of the new championship, LNZ will meet with Dnepr-1. The match is scheduled for Sunday, August 4, at 13:00.
