The Portuguese has one year left on his current deal
Al-Nasr and Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo began negotiations to extend the contract.
Cristiano’s current contract expires in June 2025. The club’s management plans to keep the player until the 2026 World Cup.
At the same time, the Portuguese does not intend to force events with the extension of the contract. Ronaldo also decided not to return to Europe in case of worthy offers.
After joining Al-Nasr, Ronaldo scored 58 goals and made 15 assists in 64 games. This summer, Cristiano performed poorly at the Euro, finishing in the quarter-finals of the tournament. However, the forward did not score a single goal in the tournament.
Al-Nassr finished second in the Saudi Arabian league last season, with Luis Castro’s side 14 points behind champions Al-Hilal.
In the final of the Saudi Arabian King’s Cup, Al-Nasr lost to Al-Hilal. The regular and extra time ended in a draw, and Jorge Jesus’ team was more accurate in the penalty shootout.
