On July 7, the Kyiv team left for a training camp in Austria. Among the players that head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskiy took with him, there are no Bragara, Rubchinskiy and Nikolai Mykhailenko, who will be involved in the Ukrainian Olympic team during the training camp. Vyacheslav Surkis, Taras Mikhavko, Nazar Balaba, Oleksiy Gusev, Andriy Matkevich and Matvey Ponomarenko will be in the Ukrainian U-19 team.
In the first Austrian friendly, the white-blues tied with German Paderborn (0:0). As part of the training camp, Dynamo will hold several more friendly matches. There are already agreements with Schalke, Danish Brondby, South African Mamelodi Sundowns and Berlin Union.
Dynamo finished second in the UPL in the 2023/24 season. Oleksandr Shovkovskiy’s team will play Serbian Partizan in the second round of the Champions League qualification. Tickets for the first, “home” match for the Kyiv team, which will take place on July 23 in Lublin, are already on sale.
Shovkovsky’s team was supposed to start the new UPL season on the first weekend of August, but its away match against Oleksandria was postponed due to the call-up of players from both clubs to the Ukrainian Olympic team.
