Colombian singer Shakira will perform at the final match of the 2024 Copa America, extending the break in the match, La Republica reports, citing ESPN journalist Diego Monroig.
Shakira will not have time to play during the standard 15-minute halftime break. Therefore, the tournament organizers in the United States will increase the break in the Argentina-Colombia match to 25 minutes.
The final will take place on July 14 at the Miami stadium (Florida, USA).
Grammy winner Shakira performed the song Waka Waka at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The song was the official anthem of the tournament.
