Lviv residents held their second sparring session today
Rukh played his second friendly match today – in the afternoon, the Lviv team, with an experimental lineup, lost to the Slovenians Domzale (0:3), and now the main team suffered a defeat from the Croatian Osijek (1:3).
Vitaly Ponomarev’s team went into the break having conceded twice. An own goal by the opponent in the 62nd minute helped them reduce the deficit, but Osijek almost immediately regained a comfortable two-goal advantage.
Rukh will play his next friendly match at the training camp in Slovenia on July 16 against English Luton.
Ponomarev’s team starts the new UPL season with a match against Obolon in the second round. The match against Poliesie in the first round has been postponed to a later date due to the call-up of Lviv team players to the Ukrainian Olympic team.
