Yamal is the youngest player in history to win the European Championship

National team midfielder Spain Lamin Yamal continues to write his name into the history of world football.

The Barcelona player started for La Furia Roja in the European Championship final against England at the age of 17 years and 1 day. And since Luis de la Fuente’s team triumphed in the match, Lamine became the youngest footballer to win the Euro.

Interestingly, the youngest player in the history of World Cup finals was previously Pele. In 1958, the Brazilian played in the tournament final at 17 years and 249 days.

At Euro 2024, Yamal took part in all seven matches of his national team, in which the winger scored one goal and recorded four assists.

Spain beat England 2-1 in the final of the 2024 European Championship. Goals from Williams and Oyarzabal secured the historic triumph for de la Fuente’s team.
