Athletistic / Football. Krasnodar forward Fedor Smolov spoke about the options he considered to continue his career during the off-season. According to him, the interest in him came from a club from the Qatari Championship.
“As for continuing my career abroad, I had a potential option in Qatar, but I did not consider it, because I have certain goals and I decided to stay in Russia,” Smolov quotes.
Fedor Smolov’s return to Krasnodar was officially announced on June 18. The 34-year-old forward joined the Bulls as a free agent after completing his employment contract with Dynamo Moscow. Smolov signed a one-year deal with the Krasnodar club. Previously, the forward played for Krasnodar from 2015 to 2018.
In the first official match after returning to Krasnodar, Fedor Smolov scored a goal, but it did not help the Bulls win the Russian Super Cup – they lost to Zenit (2:4) in the match for the trophy.
