Mykhailenko’s team will play their next match against Norway on July 18
Ukraine U-19 National Team failed to beat Northern Ireland in the first round 2024 European Youth Championship.
Dmitry Mykhailenko’s charges made significantly more strikes than their opponents, but the blue-yellows failed to achieve victory over the Euro hosts. The game ended in a 0:0 draw.
Today in another Group A match, Italy U-19 beat Norway U-19 in a strong-willed style – 2:1.
In the second round of Group A, Mykhailenko’s team will meet Norway on July 18. Then the blue-yellows will play Italy on July 21.
Two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. In addition, since the continental championship will also serve as UEFA’s qualifier for the 2025 World Cup (U-20), the teams that finish third in their groups will play for the fifth European spot at the World Cup.
