Munich to start work on transfer if talks with Simons fail
Midfielder of the Spanish national team and Leipzig Dani Olmo remains on the shortlist Bavaria.
The Munich club is assessing the midfielder’s candidacy. At the same time, Bayern will begin work on Olmo’s transfer only if negotiations with another potential new recruit, Xavi Simons, fail.
Olmo became the 2024 European Champion as part of the Spanish national team. As part of Leipzig, the midfielder scored eight goals and five assists in 25 games in all tournaments last season.
Bayern ended their 11-year dominance last season and finished third in the Bundesliga. Rothen enter the new season with a new coach, Belgian Vincent Kompany, who previously worked at Burnley.
This summer, the Munich club signed defender Hiroki Ito, as well as Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinho.
