Athletistic / Football. Goalkeeper Alexei Rojas Fedorushchenko has become a player of Arsenal London, the press service of the English club reported.

“I feel incredible right now. I am very proud of myself and happy with the work I have done in recent years. From a young age, my dream was to become a professional footballer. Today I am here and it continues to motivate me to work hard every day to achieve my goal. “The goal is to become the best goalkeeper in the world,” Fedorushchenko was quoted as saying by Arsenal’s press service.

Alexey Rojas Fedorushchenko became a player in the Arsenal system in 2019. Before that, he trained at the English football centers of Norwich City, Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Watford. Last season, the goalkeeper played 11 matches for the Gunners academy team.

Fedorushchenko’s father is from Colombia (hence the first part of the surname – Rojas), and his mother is from Russia (hence the second – Fedorushchenko). It is noteworthy that Fedorushchenko is the first Russian at Arsenal since Andrei Arshavin. It is worth noting that Alexey was called up to the Russian U17 national team and also played for the Colombian youth team.
