Ukrainian hockey player Cholach transferred to the Vegas Golden Knights farm club

The defenseman will play in the AHL for the Henderson Silver Knights

Ukrainian hockey player Arthur Cholach moved to the AHL (American Hockey League) club — Henderson Silver Knights.

The Silver Knights are a farm team for the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights. The Ukrainian signed a one-year deal with the club.

Cholach became the first Ukrainian hockey player to be selected in the NHL draft since 2007. In Ukraine, the Galitsky Lviv alumnus played for Sokol.

In the summer of 2021, the Golden Knights selected Artur with the 190th pick in the draft. Subsequently, the Ukrainian played in three Vegas games as part of the NHL Rookie Development Camp – against Arizona (2:5), San Jose (2:5) and Los Angeles (3:2).

Colach then played in junior leagues in Canada and the United States. The 21-year-old defenseman spent last season with the Sioux Falls Stampede, scoring four goals and adding 14 assists in 57 games.

Cholach is a defender for the Ukrainian national team. Due to a shoulder injury, Artur missed the Ukrainian national hockey team’s matches at the 2024 World Championship in Division IB. The blue-yellows, led by Dmytro Khristich, have been promoted to Division IA for the first time since 2017.

Let us recall that Florida became the winner of the 2024 Stanley Cup for the first time in its history. The Panthers snatched victory from Edmonton in the final in seven games.
