Athletistic / Football. Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf journalist Jeroen Kapteins has assessed the possible return to Russia of former Spartak Moscow striker Quincy Promes. Earlier, the 32-year-old Dutchman posted two videos on social media wearing a red and white T-shirt, accompanied by emojis in the form of crossed fingers, a heart and an hourglass.

“I think Promes is more nostalgic for football life than hinting at a return to Spartak. Personally, I haven’t heard anything about it,” Kapteyns said, as quoted by Sport-Express.

On February 29, Quincy Promes failed to leave the United Arab Emirates. On that day, the 32-year-old footballer was arrested by the UAE police at Dubai airport. The reason for the arrest was a road accident, after which Promes fled the scene of the incident. Now the question of his extradition to the Netherlands is being raised. In his native country, the footballer was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for drug trafficking and stabbing his cousin.

It is worth noting that on May 17, Promes was released on bail in the United Arab Emirates. On June 30, his contract with Spartak expired, after which he became a free agent.
