Athletistic / Football. Zenit board chairman Alexander Medvedev has decided on the amount for which the blue-white-blues are ready to let midfielder Wendel leave for Galatasaray. The Turkish club really wants to strengthen the Brazilian before playing in the next season of the Champions League.
According to Brazilian publication UOL, Zenit would agree to sell Wendel for 20 million euros. Earlier, information emerged that Galatasaray was considering any opportunity to transfer the midfielder: from rent to full buyout.
Wendel joined Zenit from Sporting Lisbon in October 2020. In the 2023/2024 season, he appeared in 35 Bleu-Blanc-Bleu matches in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing 10 assists. His contract with the Russian club runs until June 30, 2027. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the market value of the Latin American market at 20 million euros.
