Former Shakhtar midfielder returns to his native club
Ex-midfielder Shakhtar Alex Teixeira returned to again Vasco da Gama.
Teixeira has signed a contract with the Admirals until the end of 2025.
The last club in Alex’s career was Vasco da Gama – he left the Admirals at the end of 2023, and since then has been a free agent.
Let us recall that Alex Teixeira is a product of Vasco da Gama – he was in its system from the age of nine, after which he took his first steps in professional football.
From 2010 to 2015, Teixeira played for Shakhtar Donetsk. The midfielder played more than 220 matches for the Miners and became the Ukrainian champion with the Donetsk team five times, after which he moved to Jiangsu in China.
Vasco da Gama currently occupies 11th place in the Brazilian Championship. The Admirals will play their next match on the night of July 17-18 away against Atletico Goianiense.
