The Netflix documentary series has a single season with eight episodes and will show behind the scenes of the last season of the Spanish championship
A Netflix launched on Monday (15) the documentary series “LA LIGA: Beyond the Pitch”which shows behind the scenes of the world of football in the main Spanish competition. Produced by Morena Films, the documentary shows the competitiveness of the league and personal stories of the players on each team.
In total, eight episodes were released. The Gironawho had a great season and even ended up leading the championship for a few rounds, will be reported in the series. Stars like Antoine Griezmann, Iker Muniain, Ivan Rakitic and other players will also be featured throughout the episodes. Exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage will also be available.
Like other Netflix sports hits such as Drive to Survive, Break Point and Six Nations: The Heart of Rugby, LALIGA: Beyond the Pitch further promotes culture and diversity in Spain. The series doesn’t just highlight the action on the pitch; it also tackles important topics such as mental health and self-improvement, providing an authentic insight into the lives of top-level players.
