The coach made a comparison that could cost his team dearly.
Head coach of the Serbian Partizana Aleksandar Stanoevich commented on the upcoming duel with Dynamo Kyiv in the second qualifying round Champions League 2024/25.
“Dynamo Kyiv and Dynamo Moscow are teams of the same level. We are expecting high-intensity matches, these are matches against a strong opponent.”
“We need to be a little more dangerous in attack. Our discipline is gradually developing, but we need a little more movement without the ball, playing in both directions. In this regard, we need the boys to adapt to the level of training.”
The first meeting between Dynamo and Partizan will take place in Lublin, Poland on Tuesday, July 23. It will start at 21:00 Kyiv time (20:00 local time).
Tickets for the match in Poland are already on sale. Prices vary from 8 to 70 euros depending on the price category. The main referee for the match will be German Christian Dingert.
The return match in Belgrade will take place in eight days – on Wednesday, July 31. The meeting will also begin at 21:00 Kyiv time. The match at the Partizan Arena will be held without spectators.
If Oleksandr Shovkovskiy’s team manages to get past the second round, then their potential opponents in the third will be Rangers, Slavia (Prague), Red Bull (Salzburg) and Lille. Also among the contenders for two tickets to the main draw of the main European Cup are Union Saint-Gilloise and Twente.
In case of a loss to Partizan, the capital club will end up in the third qualifying stage of the Europa League.
