“Chelsea Football Club does not accept any form of discriminatory behaviour. We pride ourselves on being a diverse and inclusive club where all cultures and identities are welcome.
“We appreciate and acknowledge our player’s public apology. We use it as a learning opportunity. The club has initiated an internal disciplinary process,” the statement said.
