The song sung by the Argentine National Team in a live broadcast published by Enzo Fernández contained racism as well as a transphobic verse
A Argentine Football Association (AFA) will be reported by French Football Federation (FFF) in FIFA by the music of stamp racist sung by Argentine players in celebration of the title Copa America. At the time the episode happened, Enzo Fernandez was live on social media, proof that the French Federation will take to FIFA.
The incident took place inside the bus carrying the Argentine delegation, after their victory over Colombia which secured the 16th title on a turbulent day that meant the game only ended in dawn last Monday (15). They were celebrating normally, when someone started singing the racist song. Then, Enzo ended his broadcast.
“They play for France
but they are from Angola
I’m glad they’re going to run
relate to transsexuals
their mother is nigerian
their Cambodian father
but in the passport: French”, says the song.
Another institution will denounce the Argentines in addition to the French federation, according to the AFP newspaper. Amelie Oudea-CasteraFrance’s sports minister, condemned the attitude on her social media and demanded a position from FIFA. “Pathetic. A behavior that is even more unacceptable if it is repeated. FIFA, any reaction?” asked the minister.
