Rukh lost to Azerbaijan in a friendly match Sabahu at the training camp in Slovenia – 1:2.
The Lviv team distinguished itself at the start of the match. Ilya Kvasnitsa took a penalty kick, and the ball ricocheted off an Azerbaijani player and flew into the goal.
Sabah managed to equalize just before the break, with former Dynamo player Kahim Parris scoring the goal. And at the end of the match, the Azerbaijanis snatched victory thanks to a precise header from Njegos Kupusovic.
In the previous friendly match, Rukh lost to English Luton (0:1). The Lviv team will play their next match on July 20 against Hartberg in Austria.
Vitaliy Ponomarev’s team starts the new UPL season with a match against Obolon in the second round. The match against Poliesie in the first round has been postponed to a later date due to the call-up of Lviv team players to the Ukrainian Olympic team.
