Athletistic / Football. Tottenham Hotspur head coach Angelos Postecoglou could be in for a change of job, with the 58-year-old Australian a contender for the England manager role.
According to The Telegraph, Postecoglou was included by the Football Association of England (FA) in the list of candidates to replace Gareth Southgate several years ago. English football bosses like the way Angelos plays attacking and pressing football for his teams.
Now, the English Football Association wants the next head coach of the national team to be able to cope well with the increased public attention and have extensive experience in managing a team. And Angelos Postecoglou had experience in the Australian national team, which could greatly help him in negotiations with the FA.
Angelos Postecoglou took charge of Tottenham on 1 July 2023. Under his leadership, Spurs finished fifth in the Premier League table for the 2023/2024 season.
