Midfielder “Philadelphia Union” Cavan Sullivan became the youngest player to play in an MLS game.
Sullivan came on as a substitute in the 85th minute at the age of 14 years and 293 days in the regular season match against the New England Revolution.
The title of youngest MLS player previously belonged to Freddy Adu, who made his debut for DC United in 2004 at the age of 14 years and 307 days.
In May, Sullivan agreed a move to Manchester City. The United States youth international will join England at the age of 18.
