Bento officially said goodbye to Athletico-PRthe club that revealed him to professional football and gave him the projection to reach Brazilian Team. The goalkeeper is packing his bags and heading to Saudi Arabia, Al Nassrteam Cristiano Ronaldo. In his farewell, the athlete thanked Furacão and mentioned a conversation he had with Taffarel about the subject.
“It all happened very quickly, from one day to the next, from yesterday to today, actually. It wasn’t an easy decision, I had already spoken to my family, there was this possibility. It was a well-thought-out decision and I’m very happy. That’s the feeling, of joy. I’m calm. What I experienced at Athletico was well-built. I have good memories, nothing to complain about. I owe everything I achieved to the club.”said Benedict.
“I spoke to Taffarel to find out if I would continue to be on their radar (the Brazilian National Team). It was a hypothesis, whether my going to Saudi Arabia could interfere. I spoke to them and they told me that nothing would change, that I would continue to be evaluated. I will continue to do my best and good things will happen.”he completed.
