Athletistic / Football. The Spanish football championship (La Liga) has changed its broadcaster in Russia. The tournament returned after three seasons to the federal television channel Match TV.
On July 18, the Match TV press service announced the purchase of the rights to the Spanish Championship, the Segunda, as well as the Spanish Cup and Super Cup. It is worth noting that the agreement was concluded for the next seven seasons.
Note that Match TV had already broadcast Spanish football, but before the start of the 2021/2022 season, the broadcasting rights for the tournament were transferred to the Okko online cinema.
It is worth noting that the TV channel and the online cinema have exchanged major assets: from the 2024/2025 season, Okko Sport will broadcast the matches of the Champions League, the Europa League, the Conference League and the UEFA Super Cup.
Note that there is currently one Russian footballer playing in La Liga – Real Sociedad midfielder Arsen Zakharyan.
