Athletistic / Football. The Russian national team may participate in an international tournament in September 2024. In early autumn, an international tournament will be held in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of the national teams of Vietnam and Thailand, and the third participant may be Russia or Panama.
Three Nations Calendar:
September 4th: Vietnam – Russia (or Panama);
September 7th: Thailand – Russia (or Panama);
September 10: Vietnam – Thailand.
Earlier it became known that in September the Russian national team could play two friendly matches – with Syria on neutral ground in Baku (Azerbaijan) and with India (in Russia).
Given the international match calendar approved by FIFA, teams can play a maximum of two matches in September – from 2 to 10 September.
Due to the sanctions, the Russian national team missed the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, did not participate in the Nations League and did not take part in the qualifying matches for Euro 2024 in Germany.
