Marseilles Manchester United have officially announced the winger’s transfer Mason GreenwoodThe Englishman will play for the new team under number 10.
It was previously reported that Marseille would pay the Red Devils 30 million euros for the player. The deal was also planned to include an option to pay 40-50% of the amount of the next resale for Manchester United.
Greenwood was sidelined for a long time due to a rape trial, but was cleared of all charges in February 2023.
The winger spent last season on loan at Getafe. Greenwood played 36 matches in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists.
Marseille finished eighth in Ligue 1 in the 2023/24 campaign. In the new season, Olympique will be coached by former Shakhtar coach Roberto De Zerbi.
