Lviv residents will fulfill the demands of football justice
Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne confirmed the debt Carpathians in front of the Spanish defender Cristobalem. Lviv residents officially announced that they will comply with the court order.
CAS upheld FIFA’s decision on the claim of Cristobal Marquez Crespo. The court found that FC Karpaty is the sports successor of KPF Karpaty LLC. The Lviv club is responsible for the financial obligations of KPF Karpaty LLC to Cristobal.
The Spaniard played for Karpaty from 2011 to 2013, from where he was sent on loan to Elche. The player did not agree to the club’s offer to re-sign the contract on worse terms for the footballer. As a result, the Lviv team owed Cristobal about 600 thousand euros, for which the Football Federation of Ukraine deprived the club of points in the championship in 2016.
Karpaty have been promoted to a higher class following the results of last season and will play in the UPL. In the first round of the new Ukrainian championship, the Lions will meet Veres on August 3. The match starts at 15:30.
