Athletistic / Football. Football manager Timur Gurtskaya has spoken about the reasons for the possible departure of Spartak striker Alexander Sobolev to Zenit. The 27-year-old Russian wants to move to St. Petersburg.
“Willian’s arrival will put Sobolev on the bench, he doesn’t like it, at Spartak his qualities seem to be questioned. Alexander believes that it humiliates him when another player is taken in his place,” journalist Sergei Egorov quotes Gurtskaya as saying on your Telegram channel.
Earlier, media reported that Zenit offered Spartak 12 million euros for Alexander’s transfer to the Red and Whites until June 30, 2026. In the 2023/2024 season, the forward played 34 matches in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists. Transfermarkt portal estimates Sobolev’s market value at 7.5 million euros.
