Former CSKA footballer Victor Vasin terminated the contract with Kairat, the press service of the Kazakhstan team reports.
“Kairat” and the 35-year-old defender, captain of the team, terminated the contract by mutual agreement between the parties.
Vasin has been playing for the Almaty team since 2022 and has made 68 appearances in which he has scored four goals.
“His contribution to the team was much more than can be expressed in numbers. “He inspired his teammates, supported us in difficult moments and always gave 100% in the game,” the club’s press office said in a statement.
As a member of CSKA, Vasin became the champion of Russia three times and won the country’s Cup and Super Cup twice. The defender played 13 matches for the Russian national team.
