This Wednesday (17), the RB Bragantino visited the Barcelona-EQU for the first leg of the playoffs South American Cup.

Before the initial whistle, the screen of the Monumental Stadium of Guayaquilat the Ecuadorshowed a moving video in memory of Justin Cornejo, the Barcelona player who died the night before.
The fans present gave a standing ovation to the tribute. Afterwards, a minute of silence was observed in honor of the goalkeeper, with the Barcelona players wearing a black armband with the young athlete’s photo.
In the first half, Red Bull Bragantino showed a timid performance. Playing away from home, the Brazilian team was outplayed by Barcelona for much of the first half. However, Bragantino managed to open the scoring with a beautiful shot from Helinhowho scored a great goal by sending a bomb from outside the area.
Less than 15 minutes later, at 30 minutes, the home team equalized. Corozo received a good pass from Dear inside the area and kicked a low cross, shaking the net.
Barcelona continued to press in the second half, but the match was more even. Red Bull Bragantino seemed satisfied with the draw, while the Ecuadorian team tried unsuccessfully to win. In the final minutes, Bragantino improved, but were unable to score again.
The draw in Guayaquil leaves everything open for the return game, scheduled for next Wednesday, the 24th, at Nabi Abi Chedid Stadiumin Braganca Paulista. Whoever does best on aggregate will advance to the round of 16, where they will face Corinthians.
