He helped the Lions get into the UPL
Goalkeeper Andrey Kozhukhar left CarpathiansThe Lviv club reported that the parties terminated the contract by mutual consent.
Kozhukhar became a Karpaty player in the summer of 2023. His agreement with the Lions was calculated until the end of June 2026.
Last season, 24-year-old Kozhukhar played 28 games for the Lviv club, conceding 20 goals. In 16 games, the goalkeeper kept a clean sheet.
Earlier, Sport Arena reported that Kozhukhar was included in the shortlist of several Polish clubs.
Yesterday, Myron Markevich left the post of head coach of Karpaty. Vladislav Lupashko became the new coach of the Lviv team.
This off-season, Karpaty has already announced the transfers of Minaj goalkeeper Alexander Kemkin, Bulgarian Cherno More midfielder Pablo Alvarez, and Chernomorets midfielder Orest Kuzyk. The Lviv club also signed three Dnipro-1 players: defenders Vladimir Adamyuk and Denis Miroshnichenko, and midfielder Maksym Melnichenko. Another completed transfer is the transfer of Cruzeiro winger Stenio.
Karpaty have been promoted to a higher class following the results of last season and will play in the UPL. In the first round of the new Ukrainian championship, the Lions will meet Veres on August 3. The match starts at 15:30.
