In a nod to its distant past, Real Betis has announced its new away kit for the season; the colours and crest are eye-catching
Last season’s seventh-placed LALIGA, Real Betisannounced its new away kit for the upcoming season. The main novelty is its color, which will feature a lighter and stronger green than the fans are used to, in addition to the memory of the first shield in the team’s history, after 110 years.
Just like in 2014, it is inspired by Betis’ past, which wore a yellow and black uniform between 1914 and 1915. The shield, without its traditional lines and in a circular shape with the crown on top, refers to the moment after the Betis FC receive the title of Royal by concession of Alfonso XIII in August 1914.

In addition, the uniform features the inscription ‘1914 BLACK & YELLOW LEGACY’ on the inside of the collar, a reference to the historic moment of the merger between the two teams, which led to the current name of Real Betis Balompié. Previously, the Real Betis Football Club joined with the Seville Balompieuntil a merger, also in 1914.
