Benedetto is no longer a Boca Juniors player; the player is free on the market

Benedetto, Palmeiras’ tormentor in the Libertadores, is no longer an athlete for the Argentine club; Brazilian teams are reportedly interested in signing the striker

Dario Benedetto is no longer a player Boca Juniors. The contract between the athlete and the club came to an end this Friday (19), in an official statement issued by the xeneizes. With that, the 34-year-old player is free on the market. It is not yet known which club the player will play for this season. In Brazil, teams such as Sao Paulo, Internacional and Grêmio appeared as interested.

Benedetto became known in Brazil after scoring the goals that eliminated Palm trees in the 2018 Libertadores. In the Argentine team, the player played in 172 matches, scored 71 goals and won 6 titles.

The athlete was offered to Grêmio, however, Renato Gaucho refused the name. The only reinforcement for the attack in this window so far was Matias Arezowhich was in the Grenade. Despite the Gaucho club remaining in Brazilian Cup and Libertadoresis in a delicate situation in the Brazilian Championship, with the team in relegation zone.
