Argentina national team players beat Iraqi team in Olympic tournament match, Spain reached playoffs

The Argentina national football team beat the Iraqi team in a match at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The Group B match in Lyon ended 3-1 in favour of the Argentines, with Thiago Almada, Luciano Gondu and Ezequiel Fernández scoring goals. Aymen Hussein scored against the losers.

The Argentine team, which lost to the Moroccan team in the first match (1:2), will play against Ukraine on July 30.

In Group D, the Spanish team beat the Dominican Republic team (3:1), won its second consecutive victory and qualified for the playoffs of the tournament. On July 30, the Spaniards will meet the Egyptian national team.

The Paris Olympics will end on August 11.
