Women’s national team of Ukraine gave in China V quarter finals team tournament in epee fencing Olympic Games 2024.
The blue-yellows performed as part of the following trio: Vlada Kharkova, Elena Krivitskaya and Joan Faybe Bezhura. During the meeting, the Ukrainians took only three rounds (two for Kharkova, one for Bezhura). Krivitskaya lost in three of her fights.
Today the blue-yellows will continue the fight in the tournament, but for 5-8 places. Ukraine’s opponent will be the Egyptian team. The match starts at 16:00 Kyiv time.
Earlier, all three competed in individual competitions: Bezhura ended her participation at the 1/16 final stage, and Krivitskaya and Kharkova lost in the 1/8 finals.
Ukraine has one medal in its 2024 Olympics, which was won by Olga Kharlan in the individual sabre fencing competition. The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11.
The competition will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
