At an international coaching conference, former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp announced his retirement from coaching

Jurgen Klopp is unemployed, after ending his nine-year job at Liverpool. However, what seemed to be just a year off turned into an unexpected stop. At an international coaches’ congress held in Wurzburg, Germany, the former Reds coach indicated that he will no longer take over a team as a coach.

“Today I say that this is it for me as a coach. I don’t give up on impulse, it was a general decision”said Klopp. Thus, at 57 years old, the German indicates a retirement from the role. His departure from Liverpool happened at his own request, it was not a dismissal or dismissal by the English club.

In January 2024, Klopp announced that he would not continue his successful work at Liverpool, claiming that he needed more time and was tired of the role. However, even in his farewell speech, the manager did not indicate that it was retirement, but rather a break from his coaching career.

“I am looking for peace and quiet, I am 100% focused on the here and now and enjoying it. Maybe we can talk about it again in a few months. I still want to work in football and help people with my experience and contacts.”said the German.

In professional football, Klopp has only managed three teams, valuing long-term work and leaving legacies in Germany and England.
