Fenerbahce offered Fiorentina 10 million euros for the transfer of Amrabat

The Moroccan midfielder spent last season on loan at Manchester United

Fenerbahce interested in transferring the midfielder Fiorentina Sofiane Amrabat.

The Violets have already received an offer from Fenerbahce in the amount of 10 million euros for the transfer of the 27-year-old player, and Amrabat himself has been offered a contract until 2028.

Amrabat played last season for Manchester United on loan, making 30 appearances in all competitions. The contract included an option to buy the player for 20 million euros, but the Mancunians decided not to activate it. At the same time, MU would like to keep the player in the squad, but was determined to achieve a lower price.

Amrabat moved to Fiorentina in 2020 from Verona. The midfielder subsequently had a brilliant 2022 World Cup and reached the semi-finals with the Moroccan national team, after which a number of top clubs began to show interest in Sofia.

Fenerbahce was headed by Jose Mourinho this off-season. The Istanbul club also rented winger Allan Saint-Maximin from Al-Ittihad and acquired Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri for 18 million euros.

Mourinho’s team has already started the new season by going through the second round of the Champions League qualification – Fenerbahce beat Lugano on aggregate (4:3, 2:1). Now he faces a two-match duel against French Lille – the first match will take place on Tuesday, August 6.
