Approximately 20 members of ‘Mancha Alviverde’, the main organized fan group of Palm treesinvaded the club’s training center, in the Barra Funda region, in São Paulo. The members of the organization were protesting the team’s poor form, mainly due to the 2-0 defeat against Flamengoin a game valid for the round of 16 of the Brazil’s Cup.

In a statement, the São Paulo club took a stand and considered the act as “illegal and pointless”. Furthermore, Palmeiras promised to take the appropriate measures, including filing a police report as soon as possible. The team is going through a turbulent time, with three consecutive defeats.
